For Our Financial IT client in Germany, we are looking for the perfect Leader to head their Security Team.

Your challenge:

You will construct and lead a skilled, cross-functional cybersecurity team, applying what you deem to be industry-leading methodologies and the most recent, valuable technologies. You will be responsible for the cybersecurity aspects of our product, contributing to the foundational security infrastructure and fostering a security-focused culture.

Your responsibilities:

Guiding and cultivating the cybersecurity engineering team.
Contributing to the company's long-term technical strategy for cybersecurity.
Assisting engineering teams in developing secure products and services from inception.
Conducting application security design reviews, threat modeling, and code reviews.
Performing security testing on both internal and external applications and services.
Instructing and training engineering teams to establish a security-aware engineering organization.
Collaborating with a cadre of product engineers (Security Champions) in executing security initiatives for the product.
Creating new tools and processes in line with best practices in the cybersecurity industry.
Backing and overseeing the end-to-end cybersecurity lifecycle of our applications.

Your profile:

Approximately 3 years of experience in team leadership.
A sincere interest and enthusiasm for security.
In-depth technical expertise in web application security and mobile security, with over 10 years of experience.
Prior experience in a DevSecOps environment within a product-oriented company.
Comprehensive comprehension of security architecture review, threat modeling, code review, and penetration testing.
Capability to identify flaws in software before reaching production.
Robust foundation in core information security principles and concepts, including cryptography.
Experience in software engineering and comfort in developing automation tools.
Thorough understanding of cloud-native technologies.
Sound understanding of cloud environments (preferably GCP).
Proclivity for taking initiative.
