Job Description

Supplier selection & onboarding
Represents the company in contact with suppliers for the procurement of goods and services

Commodity management strategy development:

Actively participates, gives local input, and ensures implementation
Supplier relationship management:
Key contact for suppliers delivering leverage parts and services
Escalation person for structural supplier performance issues
Leads price and T&C negotiations for assigned suppliers

Processes & reporting:

Leads the supplier scouting, selection & onboarding process for a commodity group and/or assigned sourcing portfolio.

Contract negotiation:

Leads supplier global framework - contract negotiations for assigned suppliers

Supplier Performance Management:

Supports in defining supplier performance KPI’s
Monitors KPI’s and leads the KPI discussion and improvement plans with assigned suppliers

Supply Base Management:

Manages a portfolio of suppliers and drives supplier classification
Supports and maintains an ASL (Approved Supplier List)
Scouts and research new suppliers
Optimizes supplier portfolio at a global level

Outsourcing – Insourcing:

Supports in – outsourcing activities by providing adequate information
Manages the introduction of outsourced activities for selected suppliers

Demand Management:

Actively search for and implement new leverage opportunities and suggest 2nd source alternatives

Capacity Management:

Develop and monitor a mid-term supplier capacity and risk management plan for the assigned sourcing portfolio

Link with other departments: R&D, PM, quality, production

Build relationships to ensure the successful execution of commodity and supply base management strategies
Lead and generate buy in with Engineering, Quality and Production departments for the design in of cost saving initiatives

Qualifications

English language – advanced (C1)
Technical university degree Quality preferred
MS Office – advanced
Experience with sourcing Metal fabrication
Able to work independently, able to take decisions even if not all data is available
Willingness to travel
Driving license, level B
